EDuke32 Team forms Voidpoint; Celebrates 19th Anniversary of Duke Nukem 3D by Announcing 'Duke Nukem 3D: Hail to the King Collection' for Android

'Hail to the King Collection™' Will Encompass Duke Nukem 3D for PC, Nintendo 64’s Duke Nukem 64, the original Playstation 'Duke Nukem 3D: Total Meltdown' and More...

Los Angeles, California - January 29, 2015 - On this day in 1996, Duke Nukem 3D was released for the PC and quickly became one of the defining games of the 90's. In 2004, Richard Gobeille created EDuke32 to preserve Duke Nukem 3D and to make it playable and enhanced on modern hardware. Gobeille and the EDuke32 team have formed Voidpoint, LLC and have acquired commercial rights to the original 1996 PC game Duke Nukem 3D, expansions 'Duke It Out in D.C,' Duke Caribbean: Life's a Beach,' 'Duke: Nuclear Winter' as well as 1997's Nintendo 64 original Duke Nukem 64 and the 1997 PlayStation original Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown. The Voidpoint team will release the games on Android devices in a never-before-bundled package called Duke Nukem 3D: Hail to the King Collection™.

EDuke32 has been continuously developed over the past 10 years to preserve the authenticity of the original artists' and developers' intent of Duke Nukem 3D, and has since become a homebrew development platform of its own. Presented in high definition for the first time, the Voidpoint team has enhanced Duke Nukem 3D, Duke Nukem 64, and Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown to a degree of graphical and technical fidelity that surpasses the originals. Voidpoint is a completely independent venture founded with the aim to publish classic and original games with the same care and attention that the EDuke32 team has fostered for over a decade.

Voidpoint hates lazy bullet-point lists just as much as you, but to respect everyone's time, here's a quick rundown of what to expect in Duke Nukem 3D: Hail to the King Collection™:

"Duke Nukem 3D has been a huge part of my life" says Richard Gobeille. "From making custom maps as a kid, to creating and managing EDuke32 over the last decade, it's a dream come true to bring Duke Nukem 3D: Hail to the King Collection™ to other nostalgic fans and to a new generation of gamers."

Duke Nukem 3D: Hail to the King Collection™ will be available on the Google Play Store Q1, 2015.
